Why is it beneficial?
We all like routines. Routines help us feel more confident, as they are predictable and safe. Transitions bring changes, so they may feel overwhelming and make us feel uncertain. I believe that familiar learning routines help young people with SEN stay calm, reinforce good habits and revisit prior knowledge through overlearning and repetition. Your child will be able to continue with their learning programme, as well as enjoy enrichment opportunities through visiting the community, exploring the outdoors and animal encounters, engaging in a wide range of experiences.
You child will move their learning forward and will be well prepared for their return to school.
‘You have been a real inspiration. Your kindness and warmth made me believe in people again’.
I, parent of A
I will continue developing your child’s literacy and numeracy skills. I will create an individualised learning programme for them, incorporating their communication targets and catering for their sensory needs through various therapeutic approaches. I will be able to connect your child’s learning to a range of fun and practical experiences, such going out in the community, communicating with a shop assistant, ordering a meal in a café, visiting a museum or an exhibition, following a map or planning a journey, etc.
Let me know if you are ready for a chat – you can book a free thirty minute consultation with me to discuss your child’s needs.
